Agree with other positive reviews. I've been trimming my horses for 10 years, learning by mistake/success like Ramey, but without the massive number of cases he's seen. I'm about to go professional, and this guy is my favorite, he is not afraid to question what he "knows", and not New Age spacey either. Refreshing. I learned new stuff even from this intro disc, can't wait to see the others. I'll likely buy the set after renting, just to say thanks to Pete. |

These are really great for teaching you hoof anatomy and how the hoof works. Also helps you learn to trim your own horse! FANTASTIC!!! |

If you are thinking of trying to go barefoot, have gone barefoot, or just want to learn more about how the horses foot works this is the series for you. Very clear and informative. I watch and take tons of notes and then watch again. I'm just starting to trim my 8 horses myself and this is an invaluable resource!!! Might just have to put it on my Christmas list!! |

So far have seen only Volume 1 but it is remarkably informative. I watched it twice and took notes as it is filled with information important to understand. Ramey is a gifted teacher who clearly cares very much. |

A MUST SEE!,

I just finished watching disk one of the Under the Horse Series and it is every bit as good as one of Pete's clinics, if not better because you can watch in your own time in the comfort of your home. Pete Ramey is a wonderful teacher, respectful and humble, passionate yet not fanatical. If you do nothing else for your horse, watch this series. Even if you have no intention of ever trying to trim a horse's hoof, the information contained here is priceless. The dynamics of the hoof are mind boggling and I even found myself with goosebumps several times during his clinic. This DVD set can also count toward Continuing Education for Veterinarians. See his site - www.hoofrehab.com - for details. |
